In Chinese culture, a marriage lasting over fifty years is called a Golden Wedding. This piece was created to celebrate my grandparents’ 50th anniversary and to honor the playful, enduring love they share. I was inspired by a moment when they sat on a seesaw, laughing and playing rock-paper-scissors, and I wanted to capture that joy and balance in a long-term relationship. Through this piece, I reflect on the harmony, patience, and connection that grow over decades, and I hope it reminds viewers of the simple, enduring moments of love that sustain us.
