In an age dominated by AI, people say art will be replaced. Yet I firmly believe technology can never substitute human creativity, for I think, therefore I am. I am reminded of Giordano Bruno, who was executed for challenging the dogmas of his time. His death shows the danger of leaving the judgment of ideas to external authorities, whether in the past or today. Similarly, debates about AI often question the value of human originality. To me, AI is only a powerful tool, never a creator. In this pair of works, one rooted in the past and the other in the future, the Doric column links narratives across time. Who judges, who holds authority, and who are we within the image?
