Inertia

I have often wondered whether the purpose of a system is to contain chaos or to create it, a question that emerged while studying the Prohibition Era. This reflection also connects to my research on homeless aid policies. When policies fail to address real social needs, they risk bringing only disorder to everyday life. In this work, the shattered bottle reflects a man holding a gun, evoking the tension and danger of life at night during that turbulent period. Through this imagery, I explore how systems, laws, and societal structures interact with human behavior, resistance, and survival.
